Wow, Mick, this is amazing, great effects and work. You do some incredible work, f/v.

Mick Anderson replied:

Thank you Sandi! I get these wild ideas of what something COULD look like, then I go after it to see how close I can get. :) Thank you for the kind words!! (go see the one I just put up called "Studebaker Champion"... I really had some fun with that one!! :)

This is just too freakin' cool. I love it! Very cool image, bet you had a blast, both shooting it and processing it.

Mick Anderson replied:

You got that right, Anne!! I chased the storm (a very heavy hail and lightning storm) until I caught up with this scene of barn and storm. And, yes, I love playing in Photoshop!! I had a plug-in that I knew would do wonderful things to this image :) I didn't want the effect to be on the barn, so I put the effect on a different layer, then selectively "erased" the effect off the barn and trees.

About Mick Anderson

Mick Anderson

While in college, Mick had the opportunity to work at St. Mary Lodge at the east entrance to Glacier National Park in Montana. It was in this magical place where he met several fellow students from other parts of the country who would change the direction of his life by introducing Mick to nature, the mountains, the guitar and singing, fly fishing, writing music, hiking, and -- most importantly -- the Single Lens Reflex camera! He had a chance to play with Pentacon, Yashica, Pentax, Nikon and other brands, leading cameras of the day. It opened up a whole new way of looking at the world, and started a hobby that quickly grew into a passion that has stood the test of many years. His first “real” camera was a Yashica “Electro-35”...
