Oh Mick..I live in an area where we are plagued by terrible fires every summer...and I can SMELL this image! You have captured the sky perfectly...it is like the end of the world in a way! I always think of all the poor little animals fleeing for their lives. I hope this fire will be out soon and you can breath easy, my friend! V/F

Mick Anderson replied:

Yes, Sandi, you live directly north of me several hundred miles -- so we share the reality of fire! And flood, too, on occasion!! :) The air is still bad and is expected to stay that way for several more WEEKS!!!!!

Beautiful and terrifying all at once! May you all be safe and healthy! v

Mick Anderson replied:

Thanks Byron! The smoke is not as think over town today... and I hope that's a trend! We have masks if the smoke gets too bad...

Mick Anderson replied:

And I spelled it "think" instead of "thick"... sheesh!! :)

Wow! Stunning but scary at the same time! Stay safe, breath safe dear friend! fv

Mick Anderson replied:

Today was the worst day so far here in Grants Pass! The fire complexes to our NW are now the most serious in the nation... not what we like to be known for, for sure! Thank you for the concern -- I hope our hazardous air leaves soon...
