Description
This view of Heceta Head Lighthouse was taken after a winter storm lifted, and was taken from a seaplane skimming just over the waves offshore. One of my personal favorites! Taken on film, I switched to digital shortly thereafter.

One of my favorite viewpoints on the Oregon coast Mick and you photographed it nicely. :-) fv
Mick Anderson replied:
I'd love to do some more from a seaplane -- it was a blast!! My friend who piloted this trip was killed in a plane crash in Alaska about a year later -- such a tragic loss! But I shall forever remember our friendship and flights along the central Oregon coast :)

Lots of drama, rugged beauty. Great work, Mick. V/F
Mick Anderson replied:
Thanks Aaron! The friend and pilot was lost in Alaska several years ago, so I treasure the time I had with him flying this section of the Oregon coast :)

I love the feel of wilderness and mighty nature, Mick, the ocean looks so angry!
Mick Anderson replied:
The central Oregon coast can be wild, for sure!! I was so fortunate to know a seaplane pilot who gave me a flight right after a front passed so I could get this shot :))) Thanks for your nice comment, Jenny!!

Lovely shot. Really like the perspective from the plane. Vote!
Mick Anderson replied:
Thank you Katie! The pilot was a personal friend of mine who dropped everything he was doing to fly me around the coast just after a storm passed by! The light was really magical -- a once in a lifetime opportunity for me! :)
